Conversion of Existing Farm Building to Residential Development
T.D. Jagger Ltd. were appointed by MCN Construction Ltd. to undertake a full site survey of the existing agricultural barn, following which we prepared detailed drawings for both Planning and Building Control approval.
This project was shortlisted for a L.A.B.C. 2018 Building Excellence Award in the Best Change of Use of an Existing Building category.

Lower Mead is an aesthetically stylish conversion of a redundant and derelict old farm-building which created two spacious single-storey 3 bedroom family homes. The large expanses of double glazed windows and doors make the most of the stunning panoramic views, whilst also ensuring thermal efficiency is maintained.

The use of natural stone walls and a blue-slate roof, together with a traditional oak framed extension to the rear helps the project blend seamlessly in to the surrounding greenbelt landscape.
