James Heal, Richmond Works, Halifax

James Heal are a materials testing company, based at Richmond Works in Halifax.

TD Jagger Limited were appointed by James Heal to improve their existing external storage accommodation and loading bay access ramp which, due to the aged condition and design were deemed to be inappropriate for their requirements from both a practical and health & safety point of view.

Our scope of works included:

• Preparation of all design and construction details.
• Administration of the Party Wall Notices, served on an adjacent retail store.
• Preparation of a Specification of Works and cost estimates.
• Project Management of the construction work on site.

The photograph below depicts the former dilapidated storage building and loading bay access ramp which were demolished and replaced with a new storage facility and loading platform which can be seen in the image on the right.

The new delivery loading platform also provides recycled and waste materials storage areas and the option of a covered delivery area.
